Installing a swimming pool in the reversing bay
(Structural works and relocating underground services)
This home owner with impressive overlooking views of Perth’s Swan River was interested in installing on of our turntables to make room for an infinity pool! As the property is a rear house, Residential Design Codes require vehicles to be able to turn on the property and exit in a forward manner.
For this project, in order to install the turntable, the posts in the carport had to be removed. WCT managed the engineering and installation of two 230mm Parallel Channel Beams to replace the centre posts. Alongside this, WCT also needed to relocate the soak well and all underground services to make the required space for the car turntable.
The final challenge of this project was the slope of the driveway. As the turntable had to be located on the steep driveway, we constructed a number of piles into the limestone caprock to make sure it was perfectly secure and wouldn’t slide into the Swan River!
This has been one of our most challenging turntable installations yet, and something we are especially proud of. Lucky we are always up for a challenge!
