The Oriental Pearl Tower, located in Lujiazui, Shanghai, is a futuristic and iconic TV tower. Built between 1991 and 1994, it stands 468 metres tall and features 15 observation levels, some of which include panoramic glass floors. In addition to a revolving restaurant and a hotel, the tower houses museums and an indoor amusement park. As a cultural symbol of Shanghai, it attracts millions of visitors each year and is one of China’s most renowned tourist attractions.
Canton Tower:
An Iconic Landmark in GuangzhouThe Canton Tower (广州塔), also known as the Guangzhou TV Astronomical and Sightseeing Tower, is a 602-meter (1,975 ft) observation tower in Haizhu District, Guangzhou. Completed in 2009, it became operational in September 2010, just in time for the Asian Games, briefly holding the title of the world’s tallest tower before being surpassed by Tokyo Skytree. It remains the second-tallest tower in China and the fifth-tallest freestanding structure globally.

Naming and Nicknames
Originally nicknamed « Slim Waist » (小蛮腰) for its elegant shape, the name Canton Tower was chosen for its cultural resonance.
